A friend requested an image with a specific set of cards in the hand and on the table. After a bit of hunting on the internet, I found no full sets of playing cards on the internet. Not wanting the styles of card to change from one to the other, I decided instead to scan in my own cards.
Edit two is a bit more awkward, as I dropped the cards from 4 to 3, however, it was very fun! My other problem area was the table. Rather than fail at inserting a wood grain, I just used gradients to imitate the edges of a black 'table'. Which probably looks nicer than any texture I could have tried to force into it's place. Took about 5 hours overall Done in the GIMP |
